Latest Recipes* 1 kg chicken on bones or chicken breasts cut into cubes
* 2 medium sized onions
* 4 cm length ginger
* 5 large garlic cloves
* 1 large tomato
* 2 green chilies (optional)
* 2 dry bay leaves
* 3 cm length cinnamon stick
* 3 green cardamoms barely crushed
* 3 cloves "kebsh 2renfol"
* 1/2 cup plain yogurt
* 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
* 2 heaped teaspoons Kashmiri red chili powder.
* 1 tablespoon ground coriander
* 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
* 1.5 teaspoons salt
* 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)
* 1 cup hot water. You can go up to a total of 1 & 1/2 cups of hot water if you want more gravy.
* 1/4 cup oil
* 1/8 cup mustard oil (optional)
* 1 big potato cubed
Heat oils with bay leaves, cinnamon stick, cardamoms, cloves for 5 min then add 1 juliened onion.
Process the second onion, garlic, ginger, green chilies and tomato in a food processor making it a paste.
After the juliened onion turns golden, add the turmeric and Kashmiri red chili after 2 ~ 3 minutes add the processed paste and cook for like 6 min then add the chicken and continue to cook till water evaporates "like 15 min" or when you see the oil floats on top.
Add coriander, garam masala, yogurt and salt, 5 minutes add the potato and water, mix well and simmer on low for like 30 min or till potato is done.
Add sugar, mix and serve.
