Indian Tinned Tuna Spicy Fry: Submitted by: Nicolas Zouein | Date Added: 18 Dec 2015 Ingredients:

2 tins - White tuna (or 400g)
1/4 cup - Oil
1 - Carrot (medium - grated or thinly sliced)
1 cup - Tomato puree (Pomi)
2 TBSP - Ginger/Garlic paste (or 4 garlic cloves + a 2 cm piece of ginger)
2 TBSP - Green chilies (chopped)
3 - Onions (medium - diced)
10 - Curryleaves
Salt - As reqd
1.5 ts - Red chilly powder
2 ts - Coriander powder
1/2 ts - Turmeric powder
1 ts - Garam masala powder
1 ts - Crushed Black Pepper
1/4 ts - Fenugreek(Uluva) powder
1/2 cup - hot water
Spring onion chopped for garnishing

Cooking Instructions:

Step 1. Crush roughly the tinned fish with hand.
Step 2. Heat half of the oil in a pan.
Step 3. Fry the tuna, until light golden then remove it aside.
Step 4. Add and heat the remaining oil in the same pan.
Step 5. Fry onion for 7 min, add carrot & green chillies, 5 min add ginger/garlic and saute them alltogether.
Step 6. Fry them till they become light golden.
Step 7. Add curry leaves after 3 min
Step 8. Add red chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, pepper powder and fenugreek powder.
Step 9. Fry, until the raw smell disappears.
Step 10. Add tomato puree & salt. Mix well.
Step 11. Add fried tin fish & 1/2 cup of hot water.
Step 12. Cook for 5 minutes on medium heat, they are ready when red oil floats on top or sides.
