3/4 medium onion finely diced
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/3 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 1/2 cups creme freche
200 gram diced tomato (or half a tin)
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/3 cup ketchup
1/2 kilo peeled and deveined previously cooked shrimp
Hot cooked rice or pasta
Saute onion till translucent, add garlic, 2 min add white pepper, cayenne, paprika.
After 1 min add the diced tomato, tomato sauce and ketchup, cover and simmer on low for 10 min.
Add the creme, simmer another 3 min or get it to the right thickness then add the shrimps and simmer for additional 5 min on low.
Best served with white rice.
